I don’t know about y’all, but my shopping habits have changed drastically this year. The uncertainty surrounding the pandemic is not the only reason, either. 2020 has brought with it a massive social movement that has me eager to buy more from small, socially conscious brands rather than large, billion-dollar corporations. Every decision we make as consumers has an impact on our community. Who we shop with matters, from how products are made to how they treat their employees.
Enter KeikiCo. I was initially drawn to the California-based company because of the look and feel of their ridiculously soft throws, pillows, and spa-wear. Upon hearing their story and how they run their business, I was officially hooked.
Founder Renee Lipp was a teacher when she started a search for a blanket that was sensitive enough for her daughter’s baby soft skin. After carefully sourcing fabrics in downtown LA, Renee found the perfect blend and sewed her first baby blanket.
Initially, KeikiCo (keiki is Hawaiian for ‘child’) exclusively sold baby blankets but now offers beautiful robes, eye masks, blankets, pillows, and other luxury home wear. Not only is KeikiCo entirely women owned and run, but everything is made in-house in California. They provide every one of their workers with healthy, sustainable pay. I was lucky enough to get my hands on some of their incredibly soft product. Celebrities like J.Lo love it, too.

Yes, this throw is as buttery and soft as it looks! I’ve been cuddling up in it every single night since the temperature has dipped. They offer different colors and plushier versions as a part of their Fall/Winter collection, though I happen to love this casual look, as does my fiance!

Luxury Spa
This wrap might be my new favorite thing! I tend to get really hot when doing my hair and make-up, so having a strapless option that leaves my neck, arms, and chest free is a must. A simple velcro strap across the bust is all that is needed to take the wrap on and off.
It might sound silly, but I am so excited about the headband that comes as part of the Spa Gift Set. I’ve been searching for just the right one to keep pesky baby hairs off of my face when I wash and use my gua sha. KeikiCo makes the softest one with the ideal amount of stretch.
Giving Back
Every month, Keiki Co. chooses an organization that supports female welfare and empowerment for women and their families and they donate product and/or a portion of sale proceeds. for instance, last month they donated 30 blankets and 30 stroller sets to Baby2Baby, a non-profit that provides diapers, clothing, and basic necessities to young children living in poverty.
Currently, 15% of all proceeds will go towards the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
