It’s never too early to think of Spring, especially as we approach the cold winter months. Future brides are already planning ahead, so the bridal industry does the same.
I have worked many types of jobs over the years as a model, but time and time again I wind up dressed in a pretty white dress, clutching flowers and flashing a diamond ring. This past June I had a particularly fun time shooting for the Spring/Summer regional edition of The Knot magazine. From the make-up and wardrobe trailer we traversed around DUMBO, posing on Jane’s Carousel on the East River and galloping along the cobblestones playing with sparklers, bicycles, balloons and jumbo pretzels. I’ve worked with the folks at The Knot before and each time truly seems more fun than the last. I thought I would share some of my own behind the scenes shots alongside the full editorial on stands now.
The Look
The make-up look was barely there and bridal fresh, so make-up artist Leanne Hirsh used Maybelline’s instant cheek flush blush in ‘pop of peach’ on my cheeks all day.
To maintain texture and volume all day, hair stylist (and Knot favorite) Eloise Cheung spritzed my hair with this delicious smelling scalp follicle treatment.
Accessories were key for this shoot, and the bigger the better! I loved the gigantic flower earrings! Styling was provided by awesome gal Laura Pritchard.
