When Danielle Bernstein (@weworewhat) asks you to do a photo shoot in a gorgeous suite at the Gramercy Park Hotel, you comply without hesitation. Not only is it in my hood but it offers a crisp view of the one symmetrical square block that I can’t set foot in- Gramercy Park. It’s perfect blooms, gravel walks, and lushly manicured greenery tantalize my Boston Terrier and I on our daily stroll: forever we remain separated by a tiny gold key.
So while I couldn’t necessarily get inside of the park I so desperately wish to carelessly lounge in, I was afforded a one of a kind aerial view of this forbidden territory from the location of the Body Bauble lookbook shoot. We had to face the window for the best light to do makeup, which was fine by me. I may not be able to stroll within its confines but I could for a moment haughtily peer down my nose at it.

Once the shoot began, however, the park was forgotten. Body Bauble offers a 3-dimensional switch up from the ever popular flash tattoos. The stick-on jewels can dazzlingly frame the eyes, dance merrily along the brow line, or trickle and sparkle down a tan chest at a music festival like sweat from the sun.

I had a wonderful time working with the talented girls at Body Bauble, photographer Jeff Thibodeau (@jeffthibodeauco), and the lovely make up artist Shayna Gold (@shaynagold). From the sexy make up to the unique jewels I was adorned with (like the Indian inspired set above or the pretty pearls below), all of the elements of the shoot were fresh and exciting.

If you’re headed to any fun festivals this summer or are simply looking for a new way to accessorize, Body Bauble is your source! Styles range from $10-$16 and are available through their own site or some of your favorites like Nasty Gal.
