When I went to a casting for Mori Lee a few months ago, I had no idea I would be eventually heading to Atlanta, Georgia for a job with the team and other models in tow. While to us Americans, Atlanta is hardly exotic, it’s the kindness of its people and the lush greenery intertwined within the clean city that leaves a positive impression of time well spent. One doesn’t have to venture far to gain a great travel experience.
taking a much needed break on the job
I spent five days in Atlanta modeling for Mori Lee’s company, Paparazzi Prom . Days were spent in the Atlanta Convention Center, modeling in several runway shows to debut Paparazzi Prom’s latest collection. It has been a couple of years since my own prom, but even a 20’s something gal can enjoy donning a few big sparkly dresses! The job was a lot of work but everyone at Mori Lee is supportive and kind. Not to mention I had a few of my girlfriends with me!

The other models and I spent most nights resting up in the plush clouds that constitute as beds in the illustrious W. However, there are a plethora of activities within the W itself to enjoy, including having a drink at their gorgeous rooftop pool or a quick spin in their fully equipped gym. The one time we did venture out for some excitement, we found ourselves in the CNN headquarters. Originally in pursuance of that deliciously breaded chicken sandwich made famous by Chick-fil-A, with another Southern bred model, we wandered in to the headquarters food court. Once we were several fries deep, we finally looked up and were pretty amazed. The food court is massive, including an entire hotel with balconies overlooking the scene, a huge tv screen, and a timeline of important, newsworthy events throughout history. If one is able to spend their time freely in Atlanta, I would recommend taking a tour of that place! I would also recommend, on your journey to the CNN center, to take a turn in Atlanta’s very own London Eye, Skyview Atlanta.
Whether you’re in Atlanta for business or pleasure, you’ll be hard pressed to find something to disrupt the relaxed and generously kind vibe of the city. While I was busy working, I tried to remain open to taking in Atlanta for what it is and seeing its potential for what it has to offer the resident and the tourist.
